Trend Report Spring 2012: Silhouttes

This spring more than any other season has focused on color, however, I always get most excited about the sihouttes & details that go on to become trendy. I wonder if an Avant-garde shape will be introduced  by any labels or pherhaps an old one will make a comeback. Silhouttes in my opinion have the power of setting the tone for what's to come. A great example was the return of the maxi length a couple of years back, the flowy length set us on a vintage/bohemian track. Spring 2012's tone is almost an oxymoron, as pointed out by ELLE magazine and Mr. Oscar de la Renta, this season marks the return of the lady, on the other hand we can expect a very practical and laid back vibe. In this trend report you can see both sides. I hope you enjoy this!

Silhoutte Trend: PeplumPleats & peplums? what's more lady-like and delicate than a garment that makes your waist look so small & enhances your womenly curves? Pleats to me are the epitome of girly.

drop waists

Flowy maxi skirts and dresses are what I will be living in while LEGALLY sipping on yummy cocktails this spring. I find drop waists liberating.

  1. Yay so happy maxis and flowy dresses and skirts are in cause I'm such a big fan!

  2. The pleats and flowy lengths are my favorites! They're both so ethereal and to me, symbolize spring perfectly. I can't wait to work in some of those brighter colors too :)
